God’s Peace In The Storm

Scripture:
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” — Mark 4:39 (KJV)
As truck drivers, we know what it’s like to drive through storms. Sometimes the rain is so heavy you can barely see the road ahead. Life can feel the same way. Financial pressure, family struggles, health concerns, loneliness, uncertainty, and fear can roll in like dark clouds and make it difficult to see what lies ahead.
When the disciples found themselves in a storm on the Sea of Galilee, they were terrified. Yet Jesus was right there with them in the boat. The storm was real, but so was His presence.
Many times we pray for God to remove the storm immediately. Sometimes He does. Other times, He reminds us that even while the storm is raging, He is still in control. The same Savior who spoke peace to the wind and waves still speaks peace to troubled hearts today.
You may not be able to control every circumstance in your life, but you can trust the One who controls them. The storm you’re facing has not caught God by surprise. He sees it, He cares about it, and He is walking through it with you.
Today, instead of focusing on the size of the storm, focus on the size of your Savior.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being with me through every storm of life. When fear, uncertainty, and worry begin to overwhelm me, help me remember that You are still in control. Give me peace in my heart, strength for today, and faith for tomorrow. Help me keep my eyes on You no matter what I face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Reminder:
The presence of Jesus in your storm is greater than the power of the storm around you.
